St. Louis Kitchen Remodel with Fresh Design Features
It was a pleasure for the Aptitude team to assist a family in improving the functionality and organization of their kitchen. Our main goal from the beginning of the project was to optimize the limited floor plan by creating more space. Aptitude specializes in working within confined spaces and was able to enhance the flow and layout of the kitchen. We worked closely with the family to identify the existing features that were working well and incorporated them into our design plan. We also recommended unique design elements, such as natural wood for the cabinets and tile inspired by a 1930s style. The trend of using natural wood in kitchen decor is making a comeback, and various stains are available, such as cherry, walnut, and mahogany. We were inspired by the family's subtle design choices and thoroughly enjoyed creating something truly original. One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the window bench area that we constructed by converting a butcher block top into a bench. At Aptitude, we take pride in bringing our clients' visions to life and creating functional, beautiful spaces that they can enjoy for years to come.
