New Conference Room

The goal of this commercial office remodel was to add a conference room to the Simploy office. After speaking to the leadership team, Aptitude Design and Build realized that there was an opportunity to make this new space a room that could address multiple needs for the growing company. The area used to be a space with six small offices, so the first step was opening up the space into one open area. Instead of just making the room a giant conference room that was rarely utilized, there was an opportunity to create a space within the space for the team to collaborate, relax, and invite clients to spend time. 

The new conference room also needed a wow factor so that prospective clients came in and knew they were in good hands. To accomplish this, a custom-made conference table was created to fit the space, and Aptitude installed a same-sized circular soffit above the table. Other details were added, like the accent wall behind the TV, accent lighting, and frosted glass walls. All of these design elements help create small spaces within a larger space and make the whole space feel warmer. This is important in the workplace because research shows that when a space feels warm and inviting, people are more creative, better collaborators, and in general, employees are happier, which leads to better performance and higher retention. 

Aptitude wanted their client, Simploy, to have a space that wowed potential customers and created an inviting place for their team to spend time doing great work. We are really proud of the results of this project.
