Basement and Home Office Remodel

The Aptitude Design and Build team recently completed a basement and home office remodel for the White family. Their vision was to create a basement that felt completely transformed—an inviting space dedicated to fun and relaxation. They wanted to incorporate a golf simulator, a spacious bath, a cold plunge, a sauna, a workout area, and a bedroom.

The challenge for the Aptitude team was to fit all these elements into the basement while maintaining an open concept that felt spacious and cohesive. They aimed to create a sense of flow while ensuring that different areas felt distinct yet connected. To enhance the experience of entering the basement, the team recommended large glass doors that would allow visitors to glimpse the exciting features beyond as soon as they descended the stairs.

One of the team’s favorite features was the custom-built sauna, which includes a glass door and access to a cold plunge from two sides—either the gym or the bathroom.

In the home office remodel, Aptitude was thrilled by the family’s bold choices in color. The team expertly planned the layout, using cabinetry that wrapped around the space and creating seating nooks to meet thefamily's storage needs while adding a striking visual appeal.
