Basement Remodel for Golf Enthusiast

The most important feature in this basement remodel was creating a state of the art golf simulator, because both father and son are really big golfers and it was important for them to have a place to practice in their new basement. Aptitude specializes in bringing features like this to life with smart design and subtle features. The Andersen’s also do a lot of entertaining so Aptitude collaborated with them to create fun spaces for guests like the game room, entertainment area and bar. Aptitude worked with the family to create a place where their guests would really enjoy sitting down and spending time. It was also important for the entire basement to feel both separate and connected so in this basement remodel Aptitude chose glass walls for the workout room so people could both have some separation and feel connected to the rest of the basement as they worked out. In addition to the entertainment area, game room, bar, and workout room Aptitude added a bedroom and bathroom in this basement remodel for one of the kids to live in. On this basement remodel Aptitude chose subtle design elements like stone arches with brick that matches the outside of the house and muted gray warm tones. Around the big screen TV Aptitude built custom cabinets and shelving, and this pairs nicely with the coffered ceilings that give dimension to the rooms. In basement remodels and other large spaces, Aptitude loves to use lighting in unique ways to give some interest and make spaces pop.
