Basement & Bathroom Update

When the Aptitude team met with these homeowners they had an unfinished basement in their fairly new home. This was a fun project for the team because we were able to really build out the space from scratch which included a bedroom, workout room and entertainment space. Overall, we wanted to create spaces for the family to spend time together. We also wanted to make sure the basement was an extension of their living space upstairs. One of our favorite features was the electric fireplace. This fireplace has become a signature feature for Aptitude because it gives a great focal point and place to entertain and it’s perfect for separating a space into different areas for entertaining and lounging. We also did our signature glass on the workout room - this is a great way to integrate your workout space into the basement space and leverage the natural light and energy for your workout. We also love the black tile in the bar that the family selected. Some people are scared to use dark colors like that, but it’s a great way to highlight a feature with the contrast in color. Aptitude’s design sense is one of the many things that set us apart from other contractors and it is how we end up guiding our clients to fun features that really make an update special.
