Combined Kitchen & Dining Room Remodel

This Brentwood home has a typical design for the area. To modernize the layout, Aptitude needed to remodel the kitchen by joining it with the dining room. We removed the load-bearing wall between the two rooms. However, we hid the load-bearing beam in the ceiling to make the transition seamless. The outcome is an innovative, custom-installed expanded kitchen space which the Aptitude team is really proud of. Eliminating or moving load-bearing walls requires expertise and careful consideration, but we are happy with the final product. Some of our favorite features on this project are the cherry butcher block top and the new built-in eating space. Aptitude enjoys creating special spaces in larger rooms, which we consider a space within a space. Ultimately, these areas help families create memories and enjoy their homes even more, which is what it is all about for us.
